“A Night of Stars” Ball Raises over £200,000 for Children’s Cancer Charity

Over £200,00 raised for Children’s cancer fund

“A Night of Stars” ball took place on the 18th of October at the Culloden Estate and Spa and raised an incredible £201,000 in aid of Cancer Fund for Children, a charity that empowers, connects and strengthens children, young people and families impacted by cancer.

This special evening was organised by Founder of Hughes Insurance, Leslie Hughes OBE, who was supported by Callow Event Management and event sponsors Kris Turnbull Studios, The Alan Nappin Foundation, Oasis Travel, Lunns Jewellers, and We’re Sure Insurance. The event was attended by over 350 guests, including the charity’s Young Ambassador, Sophie (13), who spoke on her own experience of being diagnosed with Hodgkins’s lymphoma in February 2023.

Speaking on this, Leslie said:

“I’m delighted that this event was able to raise such a significant amount of money in aid of Cancer Fund for Children so that they can support children like Sophie when they are needed most. This charity provides incredible services that help families impacted by cancer cope better with their experience and it’s a privilege to have had a hand in bringing those services to life.”

“If you are thinking of taking on an event, volunteering or getting behind this amazing charity in any way, I would encourage you to take the leap. Your efforts will make a huge difference to families who need this service.”

To date, Leslie has helped raised well over £500,000 for Cancer Fund for Children through his charitable endeavours.
