Belfast Maritime Festival 2025

From Saturday 6th – Sunday 7th September, Belfast’s spectacular waterfront will be transformed into a vibrant celebration of sea, ships, stories and shared experiences as the Belfast Maritime Festival makes its much-anticipated return.

Stretching across the Maritime Mile, the festival invites locals and visitors alike to dive into a weekend of discovery. The iconic Titanic Quarter will be alive with activity, from ships docked along the quayside to street theatre, music, food, and interactive family zones.

The festival will feature:

  • Historic ships, including the Andalucía – a Spanish galleon replica – and an opportunity to meet the crews who experience life at sea.
  • A host of entertainment, including live music, captivating quayside street performers, live demonstrations and Downtown and Cool FM prizes, games and giveaways.
  • Hamilton Dock Maritime Village with hands-on exhibits, boat-building demos and a chance to see one of the last remaining SS Nomadic Lifeboats.
  • Science Street with exciting experiments and STEM activities that connect Belfast to the wider world through maritime-related science and sustainability.
  • Slipways Street Food Market – a delicious celebration of Northern Ireland’s finest local flavours, including food vendors and an Artisan Farmers Market where regional producers will be showcasing and selling their goods.
  • Music Trail at the Belfast Maritime Festival – a fabulous programme of live music with over 60 of Northern Ireland’s leading musicians performing at outdoor locations across the Maritime Mile.
  • A magical concert under the stars presented by Maritime Belfast Trust featuring Hothouse Flowers with special guests Ríoghnach Connolly and Honeyfeet.
  • The Queen’s Quay Kids’ Cove with arts and crafts, circus and dance and pirate play time.
  • A range of accessible and inclusive programming at City Sensations at City Quay Garden.
  • Street entertainers and musicians animating the festival route, adding surprise and spontaneity as you explore.
  • Island Adventure Park – family-friendly exciting rides, including the panoramic wheel.
  • Fools by the Sea at The Arc with a range of circus performances.
  • Pop-up public art.
  • Floating installation, Drift.

Belfast Maritime Festival is organised by Belfast City Council in partnership with Maritime Belfast Trust, supported by Belfast Harbour, Titanic Quarter Limited, Titanic Belfast, Department for Communities, Tourism NI and the Odyssey Trust.
